Graced with powdery, white-sand beaches, endless blue skies, dazzling turquoise waters and brilliant sunsets exploding with bursts of red, yellow and orange, visiting Cancun is like visiting a rainbow. But it's more than the colors that make Cancun a vibrant destination. Guests will find everything from tranquil beaches and exciting nightlife to high-adventure activities, extraordinary watersports and world-class golf.

Your Gateway to the Mayan World

Cancun may be known as a beach destination, but there’s so much more to do than soak up the sun and enjoy a few frozen drinks.

One of the most popular area activities is a visit to the local Mayan ruins, remnants of a sophisticated civilization that once lived throughout Mexico and Central America. Visitors to Cancun who can pull themselves away from the white sand beaches and clear turquoise waters of the Caribbean will find several Mayan ruin experiences to choose from.

Incredibly advanced for their time, the Maya built more than 40 cities throughout southern Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and Belize. Mystery surrounds the legends and folklore of the Mayans but it is known that they had an impressive knowledge of architecture, mathematics and astronomy. This expertise is evident when you lay eyes on the beautiful, often well-preserved, pyramids and temples at these archaeological sites - most popular among them being Chichen Itza, Coba, Ek Balam, and Tulum.

Cancun's All-Inclusive Beachfront Oasis

Set on a secluded stretch of Mayan coastline among a mangrove preserve, the Hilton Cancun is an all-inclusive resort that feels like a lost paradise with the perfect blend of Mexican heritage and modern sophistication.  Here, visitors will find panoramic ocean views, authentic global cuisine, oceanfront pools, and a wealth of unexpected delights.
