The phrase “Pura Vida” can be heard throughout Costa Rica, as a greeting or expression of happiness. The phrase translates to “pure life,” which accurately describes both the friendly hospitality of the Costa Rican people, and the adventure and wonder that await its visitors.

With an abundance of unique wildlife, landscapes and climates, Costa Rica proudly shelters approximately 5 percent of the known biodiversity in the world and protects 26 percent of its land mass. Beach lovers, surfers, and anglers quickly feel right at home along the coasts, while adventure seekers are captivated by the country’s volcanoes, rain forests, cloud forests, and rivers.

Guanacaste, Costa Rica

And, if you are a "beach lover" then Guanacaste is definitely the place to go. With the coastal area nicknamed the "Gold Coast", the beaches are superb.

With so much to do, you'll never be bored. From swimming, snorkeling, diving, fishing and surfing to horseback rides, trekking and wildlife watching, Guanacaste has it all.
