Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos
Beyond the corridor lays Cabo San Lucas, familiarly called Cabo.  Situated at the tip of the Baja Peninsula Cabo San Lucas is known best for its spectacular scenery, breathtaking sunsets, world class golf, and ever-present nightlife. Sport fishing reigns supreme here too.  Cabo is known as the Marlin Capital of the World.

And not to be outdone by it's sister-town to the north, Cabo San Lucas boasts its own selection of world-class golf courses,  high-end restaurants, and seemingly endless selection of shops.  The marina is stem to stern with expensive fishing boats, sleek cabin cruisers and yachts.

But Cabo is about excess and is top-heavy with beach bars, clubs, and outdoor concert venues. Cabo San Lucas resonates with adrenaline-fueled energy, excess and exuberance.  Nighttime goes late and music is everywhere in Cabo.
Ringed by mountains and desert and bordered by sea, Los Cabos essentially is two towns connected by a 20-mile-long corridor.  Just ten minutes from Los Cabos International airport lies the tranquil colonial town of San José del Cabo.  In contrast to the hustle and bustle party atmosphere found in Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo is quaint and colorful with a colonial plaza centered round its magnificent mission in the town square.

Charming is the word most often used when someone is asked to describe San José del Cabo. The old buildings of the historic district and the overwhelming presence of the Mission Church share in the responsibility for this very appropriate description of the city.  San José del Cabo instills a sense of old Mexican charm into the harsh desert landscape and beautiful coastline that surround the city. Old customs and traditions prevail here and time seems to be nothing more than a symbol of the modern world… a symbol that is very easily ignored by many of the locals and visitors alike.

San José is also known for its excellent golf courses, some of the best restaurants in the region, and it's ever-growing Art District, which in recent years has become the cultural center of Los Cabos with many high-end fine art galleries displaying original paintings, sculpture, photography, prints and jewelry by local, national and international contemporary artists.

Activity Day
Whether on land or water, the Los Cabos area offers an almost endless selection of activities to suit every taste... and we've chosen some of the most popular for you to experience.  Simply choose one from the list below and use the form to guarantee your selection.

Championship Golf

Club Campestre is San Jose’s centerpiece. A fabulous 18 hole, Nicklaus-designed course spread across the gently rolling foothills of the Sierra del la Laguna Mountains.  Between the mountains and the sea, this course offers spectacular views from every hole. With its seamless, dramatic interplay with the raw natural beauty of the Baja California desert, this gem of a golf course will draw you back for game after game.

Half-day Sport Fishing

Cabo is recognized as one of the top destinations in the world for big game fishing, and the waters are some of the  most fertile on earth. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, you will enjoy the experience of battling your prized catch.  While on the water, keep an eye out for whales, dolphins and seals, all of which will be active in February.  Limited availability.

Approximately five (5) hours.

Historical Los Cabos Tour

Learn the fascinating history of Los Cabos... from a sleepy fishing village to one of Mexico's most vibrant tourist hubs.  Starting at your resort, you'll discover the differences between "laid back" San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, where the party never seems to end.  En route we'll stop at a local glass factory for a glass blowing exhibition and time in the factory shop.  We then stop at Artesanos where many gift items are available, followed by lunch.

Approximately (5) five hours.

Snorkel Cruise

Enjoy a relaxing and scenic ride along the beautiful cost of Los Cabos, and observe the spectacular sights such as Lover's Beach and the famous Arch.  Whales, dolphins and sea lions are especially active in February, so keep a watchful eye... and have your camera ready.  Snacks and an open bar complete the trip.  Snorkel equipment will be available for anyone who wants to explore Cabo's underwater world.

Approximately four  (4) hours.

SNUBA Experience

Discover the undersea beauty of the Sea of Cortez the SNUBA way.  Snuba is a combination of snorkeling and scuba diving, but instead of carrying your air supply on your back, you breathe through a long hose connected  to a tank at the surface.  You wear a mask and flippers the same as snorkeling, but can descend anywhere from 10-30 feet below the surface.   No previous diving experience is required.

Note:  The minimum age is 8 years.  Not recommended for pregnant guests, or guests with heart, back or neck problems.
Approximately Three (3) hours.
