The Celts first arrived in Ireland around 500 BC asserting themselves as the dominant ethnic group in Ireland. As the centuries passed, the Celtic presence in Ireland solidified, contributing to the rich tapestry of Irish heritage, shaping the identity of the land and its people. The enduring legacy of the Celts persists, woven into the very fabric of the nation's history and cultural tapestry as found in the intricate stone carving, fine metalwork, and colorful wool textiles, seen as the precursors to the famous Scottish tartan.

Mythology played an important role in ancient Celtic life, and many of those legends can still be found today, having been passed down for generations. And, from giants to leprechauns to stones with magical powers, we will visit many historic sites giving you the opportunity to experience where the tales began.

In Antrim, we’ll visit the famed Giant's Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a must-see natural wonder that has captivated visitors for centuries. Legend has it that the causeway was built by the giant Fionn Mac Cumhaill to serve as a pathway to Scotland in order to confront a Scottish giant named Benandonner, and the 40,000 interlocking hexagonal stones create a truly breathtaking and unique landscape that draws visitors from all over the globe.

Belfast is also the birthplace of the famed RMS Titanic, which was constructed on Queen’s Island (now known as the Titanic Quarter). For our last night in Belfast we will visit The Titanic Experience, a collection of immersive exhibits that tell the story of Titanic from her majestic beginning to her tragic end. The museum is located on the same shipyard where Titanic was constructed, and where she was launched in 1912.
